Οne of mу sisters workѕ for thе (French) National Јazz Orchestra аnd ѕo I wаs invited to onе of thеir concerts, featuring thеir аlbum nаmed Сlose to Heaven: A Lеd Zeppelin Tribute. Οh mу. I know nothing аbout Јazz аnd I’m onlу a moderate fаn of Lеd Zeppelin, but thіs wаs аn absolutely stunning аnd delighting experience.

    CD arrived today; I’m listening to it now. And I suspect I’ll be listening to it again later, and tomorrow, and …

    It’s brilliant, a superb piece of work. I really like the way it mixes the compositional style of Led Zeppelin with the Big-Band Jazz sound. It works well.

    I’ve always been a big fan of Led Zeppelin and that whole genre of music. Since learning to play the trumpet as a youngster, I developed a real liking for jazz music. And it’s always been a case of “never the twain shall meet”. But now they do, and the result is quite something.

    I’ll let you know Ozh. I had to order a book at the same time so that it would take me up to the free postage level — now that was a terrible hardship. ;)

    As a fan of Led Zeppelin and Jazz music — strange combination, I know — I was intrigued by this. The samples convinced me, and the album is on order. Cheers!

    Ah ca change de judas priest et megadeth hein.

    Dans un autre style, lorsque nous étions à prague nous sommes allés écouter Carmina Burana alors qu’on n’a aucune culture musicale dans ce domaine.

    Quelle claque, pas un instrument électrifié, énormément de voix et quelle puissance.
